Troubleshooting Tips: 

 

No function
Unplug the phone, disconnect all the cords, and re-connect them after 30 mins. 

No ringing or dial tone

  1. Check the connection between the base unit and the wall socket. Ensure you are using the straight-line cord and connecting the port on the front of the phone labeled TEL-LINE to the wall socket.

  2. Check the connection between the handset and the base unit. Use the coiled cord and connect the handset to the port on the left side of the phone.

  3. Check if the telephone line is working by connecting another device to the wall socket.

Can receive calls but can’t dial out
Switch to alternate dialing mode (pulse or tone) using the T/P switch on the side of the phone. Most modern networks operate with tone dialing (T).

One ring only and the line is then broken

  1. If you have connected the base unit to the wall socket along with the other devices via a multiple connector box, check it is working.

  2. Check if there are parallel units on the same line if so remove them.
